“You have to be seen to win business overseas,” explains recruitment chief Munir Mamujee. “And, I always sign up for The Training Gateway’s trade missions because they put me in front of people I would normally never get the chance to see.”
The managing director of m2r Education, an international recruitment business based in West Yorkshire, has just returned from a recent trade mission to Malaysia and Indonesia and says The Training Gateway is now an integral part of his export strategy.
Munir says: “I do my research and identify the opportunities and then I turn to The Training Gateway for my initial introduction to a country. The Training Gateway gets out there and does the research first, so you already know there are going to be some great opportunities when they organise the trade mission.
“They deliver quality meetings and I get involved because of the high-level networking they offer. You can’t afford to ignore these opportunities. These missions are well respected and, if you want to win business overseas, you have to be part of these missions.”
Munir adds that one of the other major benefits of the trade missions are your fellow travellers and the opportunities they can also offer.
He says: “Everyone who gets involved in these trips are all in the same niche sector and that is also a great opportunity. I’ve already signed a contract with one of the companies that was on the mission with me.”
